I have been an avid quilt collector for years. I have taken one of the quilts in my personal collection and recreated it here for you. The original quilt was done in plaids. Using reproduction fabrics, I selected the fabrics for each of the borders as I pieced the quilt. The end result is this beautiful quilt, Center Star. This quilt measures 81 inches square, but you could certainly add a border to make this a queen or king. I could see this in a master bedroom…couldn’t you? Just call the store if you want to add a border and we’ll cut one for you.
This quilt was featured in Primitive Quilts and Projects. The pattern for Center Star is on page 76 and you’ll need that to complete the quilt. I quite love this magazine. This edition contains 17 other wonderful patterns including table mats, quilts, and wool projects. I can’t decide what to make first! When you pick this magazine up, drop a reply post on this blog and share what else you made out of this issue. We’d love to see all of the treasures you’ve created!
Until next time,
Julie
